Liverpool forward Diogo Jota has called out EA Sports after experiencing a bizarre bug on FIFA 21.

The Portugal international is bound to be spending plenty of time playing the virtual football game having recently been ruled out for months after suffering a knee injury.

But already Jota's patience is being tested. He posted a video of him playing on FUT champions and seeing the game completely glitch out.

Jota was preparing to take a penalty with his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo but the ball was stuck on the line and his opponent's goalkeeper appeared to be stuck behind the net.

He captioned the video: "Great thanks @EASportsFIFA" - accompanying with a laughing emoji but looking a little displeased when he panned the camera on himself.

Back in April, avid FIFA player Jota was crowned the Premier League's best FIFA player after a five-day tournament - beating future Reds' teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold in the final.

This is the second time he's thrown some shade at EA Sports and FIFA after being happy with his lack of an upgrade on this year's game.

Despite scoring 16 goals for Wolves last term, his card remained 80-rated and the 23-year-old believes he's been hard done by.

He told Einsteins TVI per Daily Mail: "I think they were taken by surprise when I went to Liverpool. They thought I was going to stay at Wolverhampton and then they didn't even bother to upgrade my card.

"I kept the data from last season, and despite being one of the best scorers in the Europa League and everything, they didn't even bother.

"As long as they send me my 99 card, which it seems every professional player is entitled to, I am happy."

Prior to his unfortunate injury, Jota had been in electric form for Liverpool - scoring nine times after making a £45 million switch in the transfer window.
