Dimitri Payet is far from popular with West Ham fans these days.

For a while, the Frenchman was a hero to Hammers fans and was their talisman - producing a whole host of great moments in a claret and blue shirt and exciting West Ham fans on a regular basis.

His relationship with the club waned and he returned to Marseille in the January transfer window after making it clear that he no longer wanted to play for the club.

West Ham fans have certainly let Payet know what they think of him and debuted a new explicit version of their chant about him lin January:

Slaven Bilic has been talking about his former player in his press conference ahead of the visit of Chelsea on Monday evening and revealed that his former player was a big fan of one player in particular that he played alongside in his time at Chelsea.

It wasn't a member of the current crop at West Ham, as Bilic said that Payet rated Chelsea's Victor Moses more highly than himself, which is saying something.

Moses turned out for West Ham on loan last season and has been an integral part of Antonio Conte's table-topping Chelsea side this season.

Bilic said:

"Payet said that even including himself, Victor is the best player that we have in West Ham."

The West Ham boss also showered praise on Moses, who was recently rewarded for his fine form with a new deal at Chelsea.

"I'm not surprised by his progress. I am glad for him. He was our player and we enjoyed that year.

"He said that he also had good memories of his time here. So I am really glad for him. His characteristics, his strength, were always like amazing.

"His pace, quality on the ball and stamina is basically top top class."

"I mean seriously. It was about time that he showed what he had in himself and exploded in a positive way - he has done it. He had it in him."
