Dimitri Foulquier's Premier League Debut Could Not Have Gone Any Worse

You really have to feel for him...

After waiting a whole two years for it to come, Dimitri Foulquier made his Premier League debut against Manchester City today but it ended in complete disaster.

The Guadeloupe international, signed way back in 2017, had just nine touches in the game as the Hornets found themselves 5-0 down inside 18 minutes.

And in the 33rd minute, despite having no injury, manager Quique Sanchez Flores elected to haul him off in place of Roberto Pereyra. It was quite possibly the worst Premier League debut in history.

City went on to score a further three goals when Foulquier left the field, Bernardo Silva's first hat-trick along with goals from David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, Riyad Mahrez and Nicolas Otamendi seeing the champions secure their biggest ever Premier League win.

Incredibly, their last eight games against Watford have seen them score a staggering 35 goals. The Hornets must be absolutely sick of playing Pep Guardiola's side at this point.
