It's no secret that Diego Costa loves a good ol' battle with a centre-half. The Chelsea frontman is tearing shit up this season banging in goals for fun but the Spaniard has revealed he misses the Madrid derby.

Antonio Conte is bringing the best of his striker as The Blues sit pretty at the top of the Premier League.

But heading into the hectic Christmas schedule, Conte will be without the services of Costa for their Boxing day clash.

And while he's enjoying a rich vain of form, the ex-Atletico player confessed he misses taking to the field in a Madrid derby in particular dueling with Pepe and Sergio Ramos. Speaking to Sport TV;

"I used to love the games against Real Madrid and the chance to face Pepe and Ramos. It was a good battle, where we always had trouble and sparks were flying."

"I can guarantee that they used to love them for the same reasons!"

"We went out on the pitch knowing that they would be intense games but the important thing was that there was loyalty. They went out hard, I did too, but without being disloyal."

"And the games against them always had friction: some sort of insult, some kicking. But after the end of the game, we would always greet each other without any problems."

"Now, with Ramos, we're team-mates with the national team and we're always joking that I can't do it anymore."

Who didn't love watching Costa and Pepe go at it?!
