Didier Drogba looks set to be back in England very soon.

The Ivorian has been without a club since leaving MLS side Montreal Impact in 2016 and was linked with a whole host of clubs.

Drogba talked about the possibility of returning to former side Marseille, though fans there made it clear that they didn't want him back when they unveiled a banner in response to his comments.

The 38-year old was in negotiations with Brazilian giants Corinthians and had a ridiculous offer on the table from them.

A couple of days back, he revealed just why the move never materialised in a post on Instagram, which you can read here:

And now Drogba is set for a return to the Premier League.

According to Globo Esporte, Drogba will head back to his beloved Chelsea for a third spell, though he will come in as part of the coaching staff and not a player - meaning he will hang up his boots and embark on a new role at the club.

The Chelsea legend was said to be close to becoming Guus Hiddink's assistant manager in the latter stages of last season after Jose Mourinho's departure but is now set to take up a role in Antonio Conte's coaching set-up.
