Dean Henderson Produces Horrendous Error On Return To Sheffield United

Dean Henderson had a moment to forget just minutes into the game at Bramall Lane.

Dean Henderson's return to Sheffield United began in the worst possible fashion as he gifted his old side the lead at Bramall Lane.

Starting in place of David De Gea, the Manchester United goalkeeper made a costly error that led to the Blades' opener just five minutes in when he took a heavy touch and was closed down by Oliver Burke.

Burke was then able to pick out David McGoldrick, who tucked away the Yorkshire outfit's second goal from open play in the league this term.

It was an absolute mess from Henderson, who tried to play out from the back after receiving the ball back from Harry Maguire in his own box.

The England goalkeeper spent the last two seasons on loan at Sheff United, with the move developing Henderson to the point where he returned to United and signed a new five-year contract with the club.

Visitors United levelled matters through Marcus Rashford in the 26th minute after the 23-year-old finished exquisitely for his fourth goal of the current Premier League campaign.

Anthony Martial put United in front minutes later, continuing United's recent habit of coming from behind after conceding early.
