After 15 years with Roma, Daniele De Rossi could be set to call time on his career in the Italian capital, after admitting that he could leave the club after his contract expires at the end of the coming season.
The World Cup winner, who has only two Coppa Italia trophies to show for his time with the 'Giallorossi', is using the last 12 months of his current deal to motivate himself to finally breaking his Scudetto duck and lifting the Serie A title aloft in May, having been a runner up in the title race seven times.
Speaking to reporters in the United States ahead of Roma's International Champions Cup game with Liverpool, De Rossi said, "The contract? I'm calm, because I'm not thinking whether or not it will be my last year of the contract. These are conversations that I must have with my family, sooner or later I'll have to think about it, but not now. But it could also be the last season, so why not make it the most beautiful of my career? "

If De Rossi is to leave the Stadio Olimpico at the end of the 2016/17 season, he would likely do so with fellow club legend Francesco Totti, who is likely to call time on his playing career, next Summer.
