David De Gea committed a big howler in goal, letting the ball squirm underneath him against Atalanta.

The Manchester United stopper was at fault for the opening goal of their Champions League clash on Tuesday.

Duvan Zapata created a nice opening as he picked out Josip Ilicic, who struck a first time effort at goal.

His left-footed shot found the back of the net after De Gea failed to keep it out in a disastrous moment.

The Spaniard's mistake in net got fans talking online.

One tweeted: "What in the holy f**k is de gea doing."

A second wrote: "Are goalkeepers allergic to using their feet when making a save? Ridiculous."

A third added: "Normal service resumed from De Gea."
