Love Island Star Dani Dyer says that her Hammers-supporting dad approves of her romance with Jarrod Bowen.

Dani's dad is EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, and he reportedly gave her daughter the thumbs up on Bowen by describing him as "a lovely guy."

"He's invested in all of the West Ham players because he supports the team and follows some of them," Dani revealed in quotes published by the Mirror.

"He's like: 'They're all my friends.' I'm like: Right, OK, Dad'.

"Everything is so early days. Jarrod is a lovely guy and we're enjoying getting to know each other," she told The Sun.

News of the pair's romance has also swept onto the terraces, as West Ham United fans have started signing a rude new chant that caused plenty of embarrassment to the 25-year-old reality tv star.

The chant of "Bowen's on fire and he's sh***ing Dani Dyer," was directed at the winger in the Hammers' 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium earlier this month.

Bowen scored his second goal of the season in West Ham's emphatic 4-1 victory away at Aston Villa on Sunday - a result which leaves them fourth in the Premier League table.

David Moyes' side are absolutely flying at the moment and have lost just once in their last nine games across all competitions.

Their win over Villa was also their third consecutive Premier League victory and followed on from a thrilling penalty shootout victory over Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

They now turn their attention back to the Europa League with a match away at Genk on Thursday, having won all three of their group stages matches to date which leaves them top of their group.

Their next Premier League match comes against Liverpool next Sunday, after the Reds were held to a frustrating 2-2 draw by Brighton & Hove Albion.
