Crystal Palace retained their Premier League status for another season with a 4-0 win over Hull City last weekend and Sam Allardyce is hoping to build on that by improving the squad considerably in the summer window.

And according to reports, 'Big Sam' has his eye on two Manchester City players.

Daniel Cutts from The Sun says that Bacary Sagna and Gael Clichy, who are both out of contract in the summer and do not look likely be offered new deals by City, are attracting interest from Palace.

While the two aren't getting any younger and aren't up to scratch with what Pep Guardiola wants for the future at the Etihad Stadium, there's no denying that the French internationals would be two very decent signings for Palace, and they are said to be on the list of targets for Allardyce.

A source from City spoke to The Sun about Palace's interest and had the following to say:

"Palace have been showing an interest in Bacary and Gael for a while, and look like they're ready to make a move.

"Their Premier League position is secured and it was all dependent on if they had that cash as to whether they made a move or not.

"The pair of them liked it down in the capital and I don't see why they wouldn't move back down south if the wages were right."

With the former Arsenal pair potentially arriving on a free, wages would be the only stumbling block but the talk is that Palace would be prepared to offer each player a weekly wage of around £80,000 (excluding bonuses) for the duo to turn out at Selhurst Park.

Meanwhile another out-of-contract City star looks to be remaining in the Premier League and heading up to London.

Pablo Zabaleta, who was given an emotional farewell at the Etihad during, and following the game with West Brom on Wednesday after nine years of service with the Blues, is set to sign a two-year contract with West Ham, with the option of a third year if all goes well.

Palace fans, would you pleased if you could land both Sagna and Clichy?
