As if Cristiano Ronaldo's €48m a year Real Madrid contract wasn't keeping him in enough solid gold toilets, Marks and Spencer's big shops and crazy paving, the Portugal captain is set to pocket more money than Michael Jordan through his new life time deal with Nike.
Ronaldo's new deal with Nike is only the third of its kind, with Jordan and LeBron James also attached to the American sportswear giants for the rest of their lives.

Nike are set to pay the three time Ballon d'Or winner $24m a year in a deal that will hit $1bn in value by the time Ronaldo turns 73. That amount is geared to surpassing the revenue generated by Jordan's deal with Nike, according to The Sunday Times:
"The long-term aim of the partnership is to surpass the revenue achieved by Nike from the company's pioneering lifetime agreement with Michael Jordan.

"Both parties believe that football's greater global popularity, coupled with Ronaldo's status as the planet's most followed sportsman on social media, can generate unprecedented sales of Nike products."
