Cristiano Ronaldo took his silver medal off in rapid time last night after his Juventus side lost the Italian Super Cup to Lazio.

For the second consecutive game against the Rome outfit, Maurizio Sarri's side were beaten 3-1 by Simone Inzaghi's side at the King Saud University Stadium, with second half goals from Senad Lulic and Danilo Cataldi sealing the win.

And when Juventus players had to collect their runners-up medals in the usual ceremony, Ronaldo had absolutely no business in his whatsoever - removing it from around his neck and even pieing off the second official who offered his hand out.

For Ronaldo, losing isn't a feeling he's become familiar with in recent times. Incredibly, this was the first final he has lost since 2013.

He had gone 14 straight finals without defeat for Real Madrid, Portugal and Juventus in various competitions so it's understandable that he wasn't thrilled to be getting his hands on a silver medal.

Things aren't exactly looking rosy for Juve at the moment, who find themselves in a Scudetto title battle with Inter Milan, managed by former boss Antonio Conte.

And though Ronaldo wowed fans with his incredible leap and header against Sampdoria in midweek, he hasn't been his usual prolific self having scored 12 goals in 21 games this term.
