Cristiano Ronaldo Gifted Juventus Teammates iMacs After Red Card Vs Valencia

Cristiano Ronaldo gave his Juventus teammates iMacs after being sent off on his Champions League debut for the club.

When Max Allegri was in charge of the Bianconeri, he introduced a rule that meant any player sent off would have to provide presents for the rest of the team as an apology of sorts.

Ronaldo, who joined the club in an £99 million move in the summer of 2018, was shown a very harsh red card 29 minutes in against Valencia at the Mestalla for a coming together with centre back Jeison Murillo.

The Portuguese superstar got himself incredibly worked up to the point he was in tears as he left the pitch.

Initially, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner continued to protest his innocence but two months later the team all had brand new Apple iMacs.

Ronaldo's teammate Wojciech Szczesny told the story on Polish talkshow "Prosto w Szczenę".

The rule was also applied to being late for training, something that Szczesny himself found about. The former Arsenal man got mixed up regarding the training times and paid the price as a result.

He bought the whole squad a pair of Beats headphones and explained that you can tell who the nice guys are based on who follows through with the gifts.

Ronaldo in particular is known for his giving nature. In October, after Portugal's U17 women's team reached the elite round of Euro 2020 qualification, he sent every player a new pair of boots.
