Philippe Coutinho is in line to win a Champions League winners medal should Liverpool go all the away in Europe's elite competition.

Yep, that's despite leaving Anfield for Barcelona in the January transfer window.

Barcelona are OUT of the 2017/18 Champions League. While Liverpool are in the last four.

AS Roma dramatically dumped out the La Liga giants after turning around a three-goal deficit following the 4-1 defeat at the Camp Nou. Edin Dzeko, Daniele De Rossi and Kostas Manolas secured the unbelievable victory at the Stadio Olimpico.

Over in England, Liverpool ensured a spot in the semi-final after beating Manchester City 2-1 on the night (5-1 on aggregate), thanks to the 'The Egyptian King' and 'Bobby' Firmino.

Jurgen Klopp's charges are just THREE games away from raising European silverware in Kiev, Ukraine.

Potentially the first time since holding aloft the Champions League on that memorable night in Istanbul, Turkey.

And even though he's swapped club allegiances, Coutinho could still take home a Champions League winners medal.

Coutinho hasn't featured for Barcelona during their Champions League campaign, after turning out for Liverpool.

Making him ineligible to play for his new side following a whopping ยฃ142 million transfer.

In the group stage, the Brazilian ace featured in five of Liverpool's six games, scoring five goals including a stunning hat-trick against Spartak Moscow.

Per UEFA regulations, the Champions League winners will receive 40 gold medals, while the runners-up gain 40 silver medals.

So, it's up to Liverpool whether to designate one to Coutinho should they conquer European football.
