Thiago produced arguably his best game in a Liverpool shirt as he completely bossed the midfield against Manchester United in their crucial 4-2 victory last night.

Thiago starred in the engine room of the pitch, running the show with fans loving his colossal showing at Old Trafford.

He was at his very best as he outperformed Paul Pogba in the middle of the park, dictating play in his side's massive win.

Composed as ever, the Spanish international helped set up attacks and sprayed passes all over the field in his classy ways.

But it was his defensive work that Liverpool fans really appreciated. He brought the 'blood and thunder' in midfield, snapping away at Man United's main threats.

His statistics from the match shows how good of a game he had with the 30-year-old completing 41 of his 49 passes and having 66 touches.

A second tweeted: "Back to his best. Next season we'll see the real Maestro."

A third added: "His best game in a Liverpool shirt so far imo, he was everywhere."

Another commented: "This is the Thiago we all know! More to come next season."

Asked what it was like to play in such an amazing game, he replied: "Even more amazing to play in.

"We faced a strong team, they are playing amazing this season and I think for most of the second half we [were] the best version of us."

On his budding partnership with Fabinho, he added: "As I said, it brings the best from all of us having Fab in the middle.

"He controls the tempo while we don't have the ball as well, he closes that gap we need when he's there. He's very important for all of us."
