Compilation Of Lionel Messi Humiliating Great Players In 2018/19 Is Just Heavenly

It's Messi's world and we're all just living in it...

Lionel Messi has destroyed a whole host of elite-level players in 2018/19 and one kind and generous soul decided to make a compilation of all the humiliations that took place.

Twitter user @LioMessi10EN put together a two minute video of the five-time Ballon d'Or just absolutely rinsing any player that dared to try and take the ball, with Dani Carvajal, Antoine Griezmann, Fabinho, Luka Modric, Gareth Bale, Koke, Heung-Min Son and just some of the many victims.

Messi's unrivalled dribbling ability and low sense of gravity is so good that even the very best cannot get near him.

So many players end up falling over the place and on their arses - thankfully we have the benefit of slow motion replays to appreciate how Messi makes world-class players look like they play for the Dog and Duck pub.

The ruining of Bale and Modric in one go is a particular highlight. When Messi picked up the ball in the middle of the park in the first half of El Clasico, he was relentlessly harried by Bale, who had a few nibbles.

But as it always is, Messi's close control was just special and he easily evaded the pressing and challenges before popping the ball off to Ivan Rakitic.

In the same game, Messi invited Dani Carvajal to come and tackle him but the Real right-back ended up being well and truly sent for a hotdog.

And another favourite instance of Messi mugging someone off was when he genuinely made Griezmann reassess his life choices in just a matter of seconds as "Hello Darkness my old friend" plays inside his head.

After his tidy brace in the final game of the season against Eibar last week, which took him to 36 La Liga goals and secured his sixth Pichichi Trophy for finishing as the league's top scorer, Messi has scored at least 50 goals in six different campaigns.

The 31-year old still has a chance to add to his tally as he has the Copa del Rey final against Valencia to play on Saturday.
