Man Pays Tribute To His Grandad With The Most Incredible Tattoo After Scoring In Cup Final
A man who celebrated with his grandad after scoring the winning goal in a cup final has paid tribute to the moment with a heart-warming tattoo.
Kern Hutchinson, from Edinburgh, was playing for Leith Athletic in one of the biggest games of the season when he bagged the winner for his local side.
The 24-year-old immediately ran over to his grandad and embraced him in a touching moment.
"There wasn't long left in the game and I managed to grab the winner, so it was just raw emotion." Kern told SPORTbible.
"I ran towards my grandad who would always stand near the goals I was shooting into, so I headed straight for him to celebrate that moment with him. He has always been there to support me.
"I just wanted to show him how much he meant to me."
Shortly after scoring the winning goal, Kern thought he would pay tribute to his grandad with a permanent reminder of that special moment.
His reaction was priceless.
"He couldn't believe it when I showed him." Kern says. "He's not a big fan of tattoos but he was so shocked when he seen mine. He was actually quite taken back with how well done and how detailed it was.
"He doesn't come to as many of my games now that he's older and it's harder for him, so that to have that moment with him meant a lot."
After his visit to the Adept Art Collective studio in Edinburgh, Kern shared the picture of his tattoo with social media, where it received over 85,000 likes at the time of writing.
Southampton striker Charlie Austin was just one of many people to be touched by the special tribute.
