Club America's Giovani Dos Santos Has Chunk Taken Out Of His Leg After Horror Tackle

Former Barcelona star Giovani dos Santos was rushed to hospital after suffered a gruesome leg injury in Club America's 4-1 derby win over Guadalajara last night.

The Mexican, who returned to his native country after leaving LA Galaxy, was on the receiving end of a horrific stoods-up, knee-high challenge from Antonio Briseno in the first half.

Briseno was given his marching orders for the wild tackle, with the cameras showing Dos Santos writhing around in agony with a huge hole in his leg.

The 30-year old was carted off the pitch on a stretcher to an ambulance and immediately rushed to hospital.

WARNING: NOT FOR THE SQUEAMISH:

Club America feared their star striker had suffered a knee fracture as a result of the nasty kick. The club say that is not the case but Dos Santos is to miss the remaining six games of the season.
