They may be Premier League champions and looking forward to their first season in the Champions League, but Leicester City are aiming for 40 points next season, according to manager Claudio Ranieri.
Speaking to the BBC, Ranieri delivered a rather underwhelming target for the upcoming Premier League campaign, "It's important to maintain in the Premier League, to be safe. 40 points is the target because I want consistency and the second year is more difficult."
"We get 40 points, then stay in the top ten, then if it's possible go through the Champions League and if it's possible dream of lifitng another cup."
"That's our ambition. We know it will be hard, but we are ready."

Of course, Leicester's phenomenal achievements last season were an incredible overachievement and Ranieri is clearly being realistic ahead of the new season. With N'Golo Kante now at Chelsea and Riyad Mahrez rejecting a new contract with the club, perhaps Ranieri's targets are bang on the money.
