Claude Makelele Is Back In The Premier League

Claude Makelele is back in the Premier League! The Frenchman has returned to the league he enjoyed many successful years by linking up with Paul Clemence at Swansea City as an assistant coach.

The 43-year-old has signed a deal till the end of this season as he reunites with Clemence following stints together at both Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

Makelele will work under new the regime brought in by their new boss as he'll prowl the touchline this weekend as Swansea host Arsenal.

After calling time on his career in 2011, the diminutive midfielder took up coaching gigs at PSG and Bastia as well as being the sporting director of Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.

Not to mention amassing a wealth of experience playing for some of the biggest clubs in the world in Chelsea, Real Madrid and PSG while famously creating the "Makelele role."
