Romelu Lukaku's Ran Straight To Angel Di Maria After Marcus Rashford's Winning Penalty Against PSG, Two Years Ago

It's been exactly two years since that famous night at the Parc des Princes.

On this day in 2019, Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford showcased his fearless nature on the grandest of stages.

In perhaps the most important moment of his young career so far, the Englabd international decided to step up and take responsibility when he calmly put the ball on the spot, despite distractions from the opposition, and absolutely smashed it to Gianluigi Buffon's right, almost breaking the net in the process.

It completed one of the Champions League's greatest comebacks.

To celebrate the winning spot-kick, Rashord's teammate at the time, Romelu Lukaku, made sure to celebrate right in front of a certain Angel Di Maria.

Di Maria, a former Manchester United player, was quick to taunt his old club when Paris Saint-Germain beat Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side at Old Trafford, drinking from a Heineken bottle and hurling abuse at fans.

Lukaku, however, had the last laugh.

Seconds after Marcus Rashford made it 3-1, the Belgian looked straight into the eyes of the Argentinian winger before running off to celebrate with his teammates.

Manchester United had won it. Solskjaer had done it.

It was an incredible game from start to finish. That man Lukaku opened the scoring early on when he capitalized on a PSG mistake, showing great composure to round goalkeeper Buffon.

PSG equalised in the first half thanks to Bernat, but the Belgian, who was criticised for months before that performance in Paris, put United back in the lead after pouncing on one of those deadly dipping hits from Rashford.

The Ligue 1 champions may have had the lion share of possession but Presnel Kimbembe's handball in injury time was the deciding factor in a truly historic game at the Parc des Princes.

Following the final-whistle, Romelu Lukaku revealed what he told his teammate before his winning penalty.

"I said 'man, this is your time. Do it for yourself and us'."

"I like it more because Marcus and I, we are dynamic, we have a lot of running in us and we score goals," he added.

"It has been nice to play him. When we played against Southampton, he made it so much easier for me and I scored two goals."
