Chile List Alexis Sanchez At New Club In Latest Squad Announcement

At least Arsenal fans will react to this in a nice, placid manner

Depending on who you ask, Alexis Sanchez is either set to put pen to paper on the most lucrative contract in Premier League history in order to remain at Arsenal or the Chilean is going to fuck right off into the loving arms of one of Europe's top clubs.

Arsenal's failure to qualify for next season's Champions League, coupled with Sanchez only having a year remaining on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium, has led a lot of Gunners fans to believe that the former Barcelona man will forego any new contract and up sticks in the coming months.

And this seems to be the school of thought that the Chilean national team are sharing, if their latest squad announcement is anything to go by.

As you can see in the above image, La Roja's official Twitter account listed Sanchez as being a Bayern Munich player.

Bayern are one of several clubs who have been regularly linked with the 28-year-old's signature over the past few months, as well as Juventus, Manchester City and Chelsea.

The tweet was soon corrected but this, coupled with Arturo Vidal's comments yesterday about the Bundesliga champions making contact with the Arsenal forward over a Summer move, won't have done anything for the nerves of Gunners fans who are desperate to see the former Udinese man stay at the Emirates Stadium, if only for another season.

Where will Sanchez begin the 2017/18 campaign, though? Arsenal, Bayern or elsewhere?
