Now on 67 goals, he's steered past Lionel Messi and is only behind Cristiano Ronaldo, who has a ridiculous 85 goals for his country.
If you have messi, CR7, we have Sunil Chhetri and we are no less proud

Back in June, he received his 100th cap for the Indian national team and marked the special occasion by bagging a brace, one of which was the most delicious lob over the goalkeepers' head, in a 3-0 win over Kenya in Mumbai.
Though India is the second biggest country in the world, the rise of football in the nation is still very much a work in progress and Chettri had to make a plea for fans to turn out for his big milestone.
As per the Indian Express, at least 9,000 fans turned out for the big spectacle and the scenes looked pretty spectacular.
