Chelsea are set to recall one of their many loanees in January.
However it's not the in-form Tammy Abraham on loan at Bristol City, nor is it Baba Rahman or Andreas Christensen who are both spending the 2016/17 campaign in Germany.
Croatian midfielder Mario Pasalic is set to return to Stamford Bridge prematurely. The 21-year old is one of a staggering 38 players sent on loan by the Blues, but is yet to play a minute of first-team football for Italian giants AC Milan, who currently lie in sixth position in Serie A.
The midfielder had a much more fruitful time on loan last season at AS Monaco, where he turned out 22 times for the Ligue One side and scored three goals. His loan spell was eventually cut-short due to a back problem.

But under Italian legend Vincenzo Montella at Milan, game-time has been incredibly difficult for Pasalic. Although he is expected to take to the pitch a lot more often in the next few weeks, he looks set to be back at Chelsea in January. The Daily Express reported last week that the player would be back at Chelsea midway through the season.
His agent commented on his current situation. Speaking to CalcioMercato, he said:
"He wants to play more and we are sure he will do so in the coming weeks. He speaks often with Montella, who motivates him and gives him advice, as soon as he is ready he will play. For me it is very important to put the injury behind him and be happy."
