How well will this go down with fans?

In the next few years Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea will be hoping their stadium changes will have a more positive impact than those by Arsenal and West Ham. But where will Chelsea play in the meantime?

Spurs have been playing their Champions League and Europa League games at Wembley this season as the building of the new stadium eats into the capacity of White Hart Lane.

From next season Mauricio Pochettino's side will be playing at Wembley all season, not good news if their European form at England's national stadium is anything to go by.

Chelsea are due to move into their new ground in about 2022. Both clubs will be hoping to avoid the lack of league titles Arsenal have been hit by since moving to the Emirates.

But before the Blues can move they also need a temporary move and with talks being held up about also moving into Wembley they have to look elsewhere.

According to the Times West Ham's London Stadium is the only viable option for the Blues and they have started talks with the Hammers.

The decision technically stands with the operating company of the former Olympic stadium but West Ham have it written in their contract that they can block a move for a second club moving there.

Wembley had been the destination for Chelsea but Spurs haven't taken up the option to move their yet and if they decide not to move till the season after that would stop the west London club's plans.

Twickenham was an option but the RFU aren't too keen to hold football matches there so it's ruled out, White Hart Lane is obviously under development and Arsenal can only hold a certain number of games a season.

The Hammers move to the London Stadium was described as the 'greatest stadium migration' by Karen Brady but it's not been without its problems.

There has been police staffing issues and crowd trouble, especially at the game against Chelsea in the EFL Cup.

Would fans of either club be too happy?
