In one of the most 'modern football, that' stories you'll hear all season, Chelsea have banned a local barber from their training ground.

Yes, this is a thing that has happened.

The Mirror are reporting that Ahmed Alsanawi, who has cut the hair of numerous Blues players, including Gary Cahill, Eden Hazard, Cesc Fabregas and Thibaut Courtois, has been banned from entering the Premier League champions' Cobham training complex after being accused of using the players' images to promote his shop, A Star Barbers.

As well as Chelsea stars, Alsanawi has also been responsible for many of Paul Pogba's more adventurous 'do's.

One source said, "It was ok to come and cut hair but a few people got a bid fed up, very quickly when he started treating the place like his own.

"The players have image rights contracts and the club has sponsors who pay millions of pounds for image rights."

Alsanawi was believed to have turned up to the training ground the day before games, which was strictly off limits.

Antonio Conte is believed to have fully supported the decision for the barber to be banned from Cobham.
