Cesc Fabregas visited the Liverpool dressing room following Chelsea's International Champions Cup win over them to apologise for his terrible tackle on Ragnar Klavan.

The Spanish playmaker was given his marching orders in the 70th minute of the game when he caught the new Anfield signing late on the foot.

It was an awful challenge which gets worse every time you see it on replay - and Fabregas has quite rightly been taking stick from fans since.

But the former Arsenal and Barcelona man has gone some way to redeeming himself after Jurgen Klopp confirmed that he'd entered the Liverpool dressing room to say sorry for the reckless challenge.

According to James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo, Jurgen Klopp told how Cesc made a visit to make amends:

That should cool a lot of the heat heading Fabregas' way after the tackle, which could have led to a serious injury for Klavan just over a week after he signed for Liverpool from Augsburg.
