Carlos Tevez Talks About Playing Alongside Both Messi And Ronaldo
Not many footballers have had the good fortune to play alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, but Carlos Tevez has lined up with both men, at domestic and international level, and has been talking of his experiences with both five time Ballon d'Or winners.
Tevez spent two seasons as Ronaldo's teammate at Manchester United between 2007-2009, winning two Premier League titles, a Champions League, a League Cup and a FIFA World Club Cup.
At international level, Tevez has lined up with Messi for Argentina, although the pair never won any silverware together.
Now, Tevez has compared the Ballon d'Or dominating duo, identifying the God given ability of Messi with the DIY, relentless hard work of Ronaldo.
During a recent interview with ESPN Argentina , the former Juventus forward said, "Cristiano is totally different to Messi.
"When Leo was starting out, he didn't touch a gym. But Cristiano was there in the morning, afternoon and evening, all the time.
"Cristiano had to work and prepare himself to be the best, while for Leo it comes naturally.
"Those are the greatest differences that I see between the two best players on the planet.
"Messi plays another sport. For Messi to score three goals [in any given game] is normal."
It's hard to argue with Tevez's analysis.
The Argentine forward has recently returned to Boca Juniors, for a third spell with the Buenos Aires club, having pocketed the equivalent of the debt of the third world during a short spell with Shanghai Shenhua in the Chinese Super League.
