Carlo Ancelotti has brought up last week's incidents involving Richarlison and Jordan Pickford after Lucas Digne was sent off for Everton today.
The French left-back was shown a straight red card in the 2-0 defeat to Southampton, a result that ended the Toffees' unbeaten start to the new campaign.
Digne was dismissed for an ill-time challenged on Kyle Walker-Peters. He had made one attempt to take him out and the second, a rake right on his ankle, gave him the second red card of his Premier League career.

It may not have been intentional but was nonetheless very dangerous and could have caused a serious injury.
It was a second consecutive red card for Everton, who had Richarlison sent off for a horrific tackle on Thiago Alcantara in last week's Merseyside derby.
In the same game, Jordan Pickford injured Virgil van Dijk and put him on the sidelines for months with a wild challenge that went unpunished because offside was called.

However, Ancelotti did not agree with the decision to give Digne his marching orders at St Mary's and believes the incidents last week may have played a part in Kevin Friend brandishing the red card.
Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp shared the same view as the Italian, even going as far as saying as, "If that's a red card than the game has officially gone."
