Carlo Ancelotti and Diego Costa decided to turn into part-time trolls by doing their own fake unveiling.

After being dismissed by Bayern Munich, the experienced Italian has returned to Italy for his ninth managerial job, taking on the reins at Napoli and signing a three-year contract as Maurizio Sarri's replacement.

The three-time Champions League winner is already on the hunt for new signings as he looks to put his stamp on the Neapolitan outfit and build on the 2017/18 second-placed finish.

He had dinner with football agent Kia Joorabchian at David Luiz's Italian restaurant in London, where Atletico Madrid striker Costa was present.

The Spain international has been touted as a striker target for Ancelotti and the two decided to have a bit of fun by posing alongside the sky blue shirt of Napoli, imitating your typical new signing unveiling.

It was a very good bit of banter to respond to the transfer rumours but as light-hearted as it was, it might not go down too well with management at Atleti - or even the club's supporters for that matter.

Ancelotti's last job in his native Italy was with AC Milan, whom he parted company with in 2009. The 58-year old is tasked with ending Napoli's lengthy wait for a title.

"I'm very happy to return to my country and to one of the greatest teams in Italy," Ancelotti said in a statement on his personal website, as per Fox Sports.

"The aim is to conquer the Scudetto after 28 years. We are thrilled by this challenge and ready to open a new chapter in football."
