Riccardo Calafiori Brilliantly Reacts To Ball Boy Hitting Him With The Ball For Time Wasting

AS Roma's Riccardo Calafiori hilariously understood why the Ajax ball boy launched the ball at his face for time wasting.

Calafiori felt the wrath of the ball boy as he angrily threw the ball at him during the Europa League clash on Thursday.

The young lad didn't appreciate the Italian's antics deep into stoppage time, hurling the ball at his face which sparked an angry reaction.

But the AS Roma defender has no hard feelings towards the ball boy, even admitting that time wasting would have annoyed him if the shoe was on the other foot.

"I will say that seeing your opponent waste time in a situation like that would've irritated me too," he told Sky Sports.

"I won't say I respect him, but I do understand. It's OK."

Despite going behind to a Davy Klaassen goal, the Serie A club hit back with two crucial away goals to secure an advantage ahead of next week's second leg.

Lorenzo Pellegrini levelled in the second half before Ibanez grabbed a late winner.

AS Roma host Ajax next Thursday with the winners in line to face Granada or Manchester United for a place in the Europa League final.
