But the AS Roma defender has no hard feelings towards the ball boy, even admitting that time wasting would have annoyed him if the shoe was on the other foot.
"I will say that seeing your opponent waste time in a situation like that would've irritated me too," he told Sky Sports.
"I won't say I respect him, but I do understand. It's OK."
