Burnley's match with Newcastle United at Turf Moor has been delayed after an incident in the players' tunnel.

The football club tweeted that the match would be pushed back from its 8:00 p.m. start time to 8:30 p.m.

"Kick off at tonight's game will be delayed by 30 minutes, due to a medical emergency in the players' tunnel," the club tweeted.

"Neither team or their staff are affected. The person involved has been taken to hospital in a conscious state."

Sean Dyche's men are looking to pick up an important three points against Rafael Benítez's side after a disappointing start to the season.

The Clarets are currently 17th in the league after 12 matches, picking up two wins, three draws and suffering seven defeats.

Meanwhile, the Magpies are 15th and have two wins, three draws and seven losses -- yes, the exact same results as Burnley -- but are ahead of the Clarets on goal difference.
