Gianluigi Buffon's Incredible Reaction After Being Beaten By Cristiano Ronaldo's Overhead Kick
New footage has emerged of Gianluigi Buffon saluting Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese scored one an incredible overhead kick against the Italian back in April.
Ronaldo met a Dani Carvajal cross in stunning and acrobatic fashion to put his side 3-0 up in the Champions League quarter final first leg in Turin.
Even with his sublime collection of strikes, it may well be the greatest goal the five-time Ballon d'Or has scored - and it saw him scoop the UEFA Goal of the Season as a result of his heroics.
As Ronaldo wheeled away in celebration, many of the home fans rose to their feet and applauding a rival player out of respect for the brilliance he had just served up.
The gesture was duly appreciated by the former Manchester United No.7, who graciously put his hands up.
And Buffon, who was utterly helpless in between the sticks, also offered his appreciation by giving Ronaldo a thumbs up.
Footage of the legendary Azzuri shotstopper's reaction hadn't been seen until recently.

Buffon would completely lose the plot in the return leg, being sent off for screaming in the face of Michael Oliver after Real were handed a crucial last-gasp penalty at the Bernabeu.
But his gesture he was very classy and displayed how highly he thought of the acrobatic effort from Ronaldo.
After winning a third Champions League in a row with Real, Ronaldo departed in a £99 million to Juventus, where he's notched nine goals and chipped in with five assists.
In August, Ronaldo reflected on the special moment in Turin as a visiting player and says it helped strengthen his belief about Juventus supporters and the uniqueness they have.
"Unbelievable. I remember every day, that never happened to me before," he said in an interview with Juventus TV.
"In the Champions League against Juve, a quarter-final, you score a goal and see everyone in the stadium applaud you. It was an unbelievable feeling.
"I felt surprised at the beginning. I am used to following Juve and I like the club, but since that moment I liked them even more. I won't say it was the key point in my decision, but every detail helps.
"Maybe. Of course, it helps when you see the people like you, the supporters and club like you, the feeling is completely different. I have to say thank you to all of them for the support."
