Bruno Fernandes' amount of goal involvements at Manchester United are thoroughly impressive.

Bruno Fernandes has managed just one less goal involvement than Lionel Messi since he made the move to Manchester United.

The Portugal midfielder joined United for an initial £47 million fee just over a year ago and the former Sporting CP has had a transformative effect on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.

Instantly becoming United's main creative source, Fernandes has been involved in 52 goals - 33 goals and 19 assists - in 58 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils.

Since his arrival at United, only Lionel Messi and Robert Lewandowski boast better numbers.

Six-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi has 53 goals and assists, with Lewandowski has managed an utterly outrageous 67 goals en route to firing Bayern Munich to silverware aplenty.

But it shows just how well Fernandes has been performing for United. Technically, without his contributions, the team would be in 15th place in the Premier League.

His latest masterclass saw him strike twice as United thrashed Real Sociedad 4-0 in the Europa League round of 32 first leg in Turin.

The former Sampdoria and Udinese man is central to everything United do and Jason Cundy, former Chelsea and Spurs player, reckons the team are too reliant on him.

"If Bruno doesn't turn up, United don't turn up... he's such a good player and he drives them forward," he said on talkSPORT.talkSPORT.

"You worry for United. If there was to be five/six games where maybe picks up an injury, a suspension or even a lack of form... over the last 12 months he's been astonishing, probably the most consistent player in the Premier League. United aren't that great without him."

"Kevin De Bruyne has just come out of Manchester City, you wouldn't know it. If Bruno is out of the United side for the same length of time, United feel it. That's the point I'm making, They're so reliant."
