Zlatan Ibrahimovic has announced that Euro 2016 will be his last tournament as an international player, as he will retire from duty with Sweden once their tournament is over.

It was originally believed that the legendary Sweden captain would represent his country at the upcoming Olympic Games, in Rio, but that is no longer the case, with the former PSG man saying in a statement:

"The last game of the Euros will be my last game with Sweden. I will not participate in the Olympics. So my final game of the Euros will be my last. So let's hope it goes as long as possible. I hope that tomorrow will not be my last game. But I don't have any regrets. There is no disappointment. I'm very proud to be the captain of Sweden. I want to take this moment to thank the fans for always supporting me Wherever I go, I will always carry the Sweden flag with me and stand with it."

Ibrahimovic will retire as Sweden's all time leading goal scorer, with 62 goals in 115 appearances for his country. We're not sure what has brought about his decision to forego the Olympic Games, but we're guessing a certain Mr. Mourinho had something to do with it.
