Football is set to lose one of the coolest midfielders as Xabi Alonso has just announced his retirement from football after confirming his decision through social media.
The 35-year-old starred for Bayern Munich as they inflicted yet another humiliating defeat on Arsenal, thrashing them 5-1 on Tuesday night following their identical scoreline in Germany.

But despite performing heroics, Alonso is set to call time on his illustrious career at the end of the season. And what better way to commemorate his career than by reliving his audacious 70-yard screamer against Luton while playing for Liverpool.
