BREAKING: Roy Hodgson Names England's Euro 2016 Squad

BREAKING: Roy Hodgson Names England's Euro 2016 Squad

Big decisions by Roy.

Unfortunately for those of you involved in our Twitter discussion this morning Roy Hodgson has avoided making the big decisions by ignoring the claims of Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Emile Heskey and Ade Akinfenwa for Euro 2016. However the England boss has made some other big decisions.

The one decision that is likely to cause the most controversy is Hodgson's decision to pick Jack Wilshere despite the fact the Arsenal midfielder has only played 141 minutes all season and they came in the last three games of the season, two as a substitute. Fabian Delph also makes the 26, somehow- literally I've no idea how!

With Danny Welbeck missing out through injury there was a place for an extra forward and the former Fulham manager has gone for Andros Townsend ahead of Jermain Defoe and Theo Walcott:

Manager's don't need to officially name their squads until June 1st and Hodgson has three players on standby should anyone get injured or he decide that someone else is more deserving of a place after training.

England have three pre-tournament friendlies against Turkey, Australia and Portugal so some of those players on standby may still have a chance to impress during those games.

Marcus Rashford's incredible season continues after being named in the extended England squad just several months after making his debut for Manchester United.

Who does and doesn't deserve to be in the squad?
