Riyad Mahrez has ended any speculation about his future by signing a new deal with Leicester City, despite strong interest from Arsenal.
The news of Mahrez's commitment to the Foxes was confirmed by club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha on his official Instagram account, this evening before the club themselves shared the good news.
The news will come as a huge blow to Arsene Wenger, with the PFA Player Of The Year the second Leicester player to commit his future to the King Power club rather than move to North London, after Jamie Vardy opted to stay in the East Midlands earlier in the Summer, despite the Gunners activating his £20m release clause.
Ironically enough, Leicester host Arsenal at the King Power Stadium, this Saturday with both teams looking to pick up their first points of the season having both endured opening day defeats.
