Neymar is set to be out of pocket to the tune of 45.9 million after a federal court in Rio de Janeiro found the Brazil captain guilty of tax fraud.

While the Barcelona star is set to appeal the decision the revelation of the size of his fine is astounding. Neymar used his businesses (Neymar Sport e Marketing, N & N Consultoria, N & N Administracao de Bens) to avoid paying 56.4m between 2012 and 2014.

The judge presiding over the case claimed that Neymar could have used fake contracts to hide his other income, with court auditor Develly Claudia Montez writing "We studied the information regarding the tax case in question, Neymar, the three businesses and his business partners [parents] and we found that there were fraudulent business practices."

On top of this disaster for the Brazil captain, he's also under a simultaneous investigation by the Spanish government. His Barcelona teammates Javier Macherano and Lionel Messi have also been under similar investigations for tax fraud over the past year. Here's an idea, lads, you're all fucking minted, just pay your fucking taxes.
