While Everton have heavily reinforced their side in the summer window, the club have notably sold last seasons top scorer Romelu Lukaku, and it now appears Ross Barkley is also set to leave Goodison Park.
Lukaku left Everton to join Manchester United in a £75 million transfer, and Ronald Koeman has confirmed that Barkley is now seeking a move away from the club.

The Everton boss detailed the exchange with the midfielder by revealing that the club offered him a new contract which was ultimately rejected.
"His situation is not too difficult, we made a good offer of a contract," Koeman said in a press conference.

Ross Barkley filed in the same drawer as Franny Jeffers and Jack Rodwell.

If Ross Barkley can't see that the "new challenge" he's looking for is right under his nose, then I've got no issue with him leaving.

See ya later Ross Barkley. See Jeffers, Pienaar, Rodwell etc for how well it goes when you leave Everton. He'll be @NUFC within 2 years

Barkley has been attracting plenty of attention since his future was put up in the air. Manchester United and Spurs continue to monitor his situation.
As well as the Champions League represented clubs, Leicester City and Crystal Palace are also reportedly eyeing up the England international.
