BREAKING: FIFPro Team Of The Year Announced

BREAKING: FIFPro Team Of The Year Announced

What a lineup!

It's that time of year again. The time where FIFA announces the best starting XI of the past 12 months and promptly sparks ferocious debate among football fans who are outraged at the inclusion of * insert world class footballer here * into the FIFPro Team Of The Year.

The XI was announced at the inaugural and creatively titled 'The Best' ceremony in Zurich, organised by FIFA following the break of the merging agreement between world football's governing body and France Football, who now host the Ballon d'Or ceremony separately.

Who makes the greatest FIFA XI of all time?

As expected, an El Clasico heavy XI has been named, with the usual suspects, including Ronaldo, Messi, Iniesta, Pique, Ramos and Kroos being joined by Manuel Neuer and Dani Alves (only recently not of Barcelona), who are the only two players not currently plying their trade with either of La Liga's top two clubs to make the FIFPro team.

Not a bad lineup, is it?

Some eyebrows are bound to be raised at Antoine Griezmann, Golden Boot winner at Euro 2016 and fresh off another prolific year with Atletico Madrid, not making the XI, with Neymar also missing the cut.

Also, let us not forget Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez who have been cruelly overlooked. Maybe we can just pretend they're on the bench with Griezmann and Neymar?

Who do you believe should have been selected in the FIFPro XI or do you agree with the selections?
