Sky sources are confirming that Everton have officially sacked Roberto Martinez as manager after a disappointing third season in charge at Goodison Park.
Martinez leaves the Toffees in 12th place in the Premier League, having won just one game in his last nine in all competitions in charge, including an embarrassing 4-0 humbling at the hands of Merseyside rivals Liverpool at Anfield.
Fans had turned against the former Wigan boss in the last few months, although he did lead them to two domestic cup semi-finals this season, Everton's performances in the league were severely underwhelming.
