Former Sheffield United striker was found guilty of rape and sentenced to five year in jail back in 2012 but today the Welshman was found not guilty during a retrial after spending two years of his sentence behind bars.
Evans has maintained throughout that he was not guilty of rape and that the 19 year old woman consented to sex with the footballer but was found guilty during the original trial in 2012.
In April the conviction was quashed by the Court of Appeal and a retrial was ordered. After 14 days in court the 27 year old, who was sacked by former club Sheffield United after his original conviction, was found not guilty.
