BREAKING: Cesc Fabregas Set To Be Dropped On Antonio Conte's Debut

Beginning of the end?

Antonio Conte was always going to do things his way and just like Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho at the Manchester clubs the Italian is set to spring a surprise in his first game in charge in the Premier League by dropping Cesc Fabregas.

The Spaniard was no where near his best for the Blues in last season's disappointment but nor was anyone else. The former Arsenal favourite still played a large majority of games and despite the arrival N'Golo Kante that was expected to continue.

However former Juventus manager Conte looks set to drop the midfielder from Chelsea's opening fixture of the season at home against West Ham tonight leaving questions about his future very much in the air.

The Blues have been linked with further midfield options all summer with Radja Nainggolan constantly linked and even with that transfer not happening it doesn't rule out moves for other central players.

Fabregas has also been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge with Conte's previous club side, the Old Lady, recently being reported to be eyeing up a move for the 29 year-old as a replacement for Paul Pogba.

Chelsea will have to be at their best tonight with West Ham beginning to forge somewhat of a reputation for winning London derbies and away games against the big sides.
