BREAKING: Bastian Schweinsteiger Gives Big Update On His Manchester United Future

Just over a year ago Manchester United fans were feeling pretty triumphant over the signing of Bayern Munich legend Bastian Schweinsteiger. Now though he's more likely to be seen watching tennis than playing for the Red Devils, but it looks like he's going nowhere.

Schweinsteiger's move to the Premier League has been a bit of a bust with injuries catching up with the World Cup winner and a suggestion that he can't play as fast paced as Jose Mourinho would like, or Brendan Rodgers for that matter.

There's been plenty of questions about the 32 year old German's future and whether he would be sticking around Old Trafford for much longer, considering his obvious lack of football and the £89 million signing of Paul Pogba. But it looks like he'll be staying put and raking in the money rather than heading out of Manchester, Winston Bogarde you're a true inspiration:

Of course there's one very big factor about his statement, he won't be moving anywhere in Europe. That makes a big money move to China or the MLS a very big possibility then. Because what's better than earning lots of money for not doing a lot? Earning even more money for doing a bit more! But with the Chinese transfer window closed he'll have to hold tight for now.

Schweinsteiger will have plenty of time to follow wife Anna Ivanovic round the WTA tour though.

It's still a huge shame for the player and the Premier League that he's not been able to make a bigger impact since leaving Bayern Munich for the only time in his career. Still we're sure he'll get over it as he dives into a pool of money in a Scrooge McDuckesque scene.
