Borussia Monchengladbach Send Injured Lionel Messi A Message

Borussia Monchengladbach have sent Lionel Messi at 'get well soon' message on twitter following the news that the Barcelona ace will be out of action for around three weeks.

Messi pulled up in the 1-1 draw against Atletico Madrid last night and was forced off with a groin injury that will rule him out of the trip to play Monchengladbach on Wednesday in the Champions League.

The German club weighed in with the following message on Twitter:

The tweet translates to:

"What a pity. We would have loved to see you here with Barcelona at Borussia Park on Wednesday. Get well soon, Lionel Messi."

Barcelone replied, thanking their upcoming opponents.

But surely there's a bit of sarcasm in that tweet from Gladbach? They will surely be delighted with the news that Messi has been ruled out, having seen what he and the Barca side did to Celtic at the Nou Camp in the opening group game.

Not having to deal with the best player ever to grace the earth on Wednesday is a huge boost for the Foals.
