Borussia Dortmund will include 15-year-old goalscoring sensation Youssoufa Moukoko in their Champions League.

Dortmund sent their squad list to UEFA last week following the Champions League group stage draw and although Moukoko wasn't in it, he will soon qualify for the B-list.

The rules mean he cannot be registered until he turns 16 but that is imminent as his birthday falls on 20 November.

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc confirmed the news regarding the teenager.

"Yes, it's true," Zorc told Bild.

"We will register Youssoufa for the Champions League via the B-list."

Moukoko, who is Cameroon born but represents Germany at Under 20 level, could become the youngest ever player in the history of the Champions League.

That record is currently held by Celestine Babayaro, who appeared for Anderlecht against Steaua Bucharest aged 16 years and and 87 days back in 1994.

Moukoko will usurp Babayaro if he features in the game against Club Brugge on 24 November, four days after he reaches the sweet 16.

Signed from St Pauli in 2016, Moukoko has dominated the youth ranks for BVB, notching a ridiculous 134 goals in 86 appearances at Under 17 and Under 19 level.

He netted 33 goals in 21 matches in the 2017/18 season for the Under 15's BVB side and then, aged just 12, made the step up to the Bundesliga outfit's Under 17 team, where he continued to go goal-crazy by notching a record-setting 50 goals in 28 games.

He then marked his graduation to the Under 19's by bagging six on his debut en route to a sensational tally of 34 goals in 20 games last term. This season, he scored a hat-trick in each of the first two games of the campaign.

Dortmund are believed to have tied him down until 2022, with German outlet Ruhr Nachrichten claiming the starlet has already secured himself a $1 million Nike deal and received a seven-figure upfront.

Moukoko has already received glowing praise from Dortmund goal-machine Erling Haaland, while six-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi sent him a special gift for his 15th birthday,
