A Liverpool fan has vehemently argued that he would take Mohamed Salah in his team "all day, every day" ahead of Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland.

Haaland, 20, has been linked with Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City thanks to his scintillating form at Dortmund.

The Norway international once again grabbed the spotlight as he scored a brace in Dortmund's 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The German side progressed to the next round of the competition thanks to a 5-4 aggregate scoreline.

However, Haaland caused controversy with the Sevilla players as he taunted Yassine Bounou after he scored his retaken penalty.

Speaking after Haaland's latest Champions League exploits, Liverpool fan Mohammed won't be convinced of the Dortmund star's talent until he plays in the Premier League.

And the Reds supporter insisted that Haaland is not a better player than Liverpool winger Salah.

"Don't get me wrong, he's [Haaland] an exceptional player," Mohammed told talkSPORT.

"If he comes in the Premier League and starts doing what he's doing, then he's class... but he's not better than Mohamed Salah!

"I would have Salah in the team over Haaland all day, every day. The Premier League is a tough league."

Meanwhile, QPR forward Charlie Austin made an appearance on talkSPORT and praised Haaland, saying that he is "only going to improve."

The 31-year-old former Southampton and Burnley man added that the "only place" for the Norwegian striker is the Premier League, which he would 'destroy.'

Austin explained: "He's only going to improve, he's going to take his game to the next level.

"He's 20 years old and to have 20 goals in 14 games in any league is ridiculous, but the Champions League is the pinnacle.

"The only place for him is the Premier League. Barcelona and Real Madrid aren't hitting the heights of years ago. He could go to Bayern Munich, but is that going to test the boundaries for him? Would going to PSG take him to the next level? I don't think so.

"His dad has said he's basically designed to play in the Premier League... if he does come to the Premier League, it's going to be an exciting 8 to 10 years of him destroying it, basically."
