Borussia Dortmund Are Selling Axel Witsel Wigs On Their Official Online Store

Why didn't Manchester United think of this with Marouane Fellaini?!

In a genius bit of marketing, Borussia Dortmund are selling Axel Witsel afro wigs on their official online store.

The Belgian international moved to Dortmund in the summer after 18 months in China with Tianjin Quanjian and has already cemented his place as a fan favourite, scoring five goals in 19 appearances from midfield.

He's been a key factor in Lucien Favre's side having a seven-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga table, playing 1444 passes in the league this term and boasting a pass accuracy of 93.2 per cent, which is more than any other midfielder in the German top flight thus far.

And Dortmund value him so highly that they are now selling a product entirely dedicated to him on their website. Fans can try and imitate the former Benfica and Zenit man by buying a "BVB match wig" for just €9.95. An absolute bargain.

You just know it's going to be a big-seller and soon Signal Iduna Park will be full of Axel Witsel impersonators. It's just a surprise that Manchester United didn't think of doing it with Marouane Fellaini, Witsel's international teammate, prior to him leaving for Shandong Luneng last week.

Witsel, meanwhile, has been a huge complainer to EA Sports about his likeness on FIFA 19. The afro isn't too badly done but his game-face looks absolutely nothing like him.

EA have listened to the requests of the likes of Jesse Lingard and Wilfried Zaha but they really ought to sort poor Axel out too.
