Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas was way out of his goal in the Champions League win in Turkey.

Boredom set in for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Keylor Navas tonight and he decided to play outfield for a bit.

The Costa Rican kept a clean sheet as PSG ran out 2-0 winners away at Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League but went viral for his antics late in the game.

Having seen Moise Kean bag a brace to continue his impressive start to life playing under Thomas Tuchel, Navas charged out of his goal late in the second half and passed to the Italian.

We've seen Manuel Neuer rush out on a regular basis in recent years and now Navas himself has joined the modern ball-playing goalkeeper crew.

It's the sort of thing you'd find FIFA players doing when they're running riot on the game and you have to admire the former Real Madrid man's eagerness to get involved.

Social media was quick to react to Navas going rogue:

Ederson of Manchester City also has a knack of forgetting he's a goalkeeper and memorably started playing passes in midfield during a win over Wolves in 2019.

However, his manager Pep Guardiola was less than impressed and made his feelings very clear in a post-match interview after the victory.
